Girls' Fall Video Showcase Tip Sheet for the 2018 event.

Players from 2021 & under

October 6,  2018 - Pelahatchie, MS

Over forty young ladies from various regions of Mississippi and Louisiana descended upon the small town of Pelahatchie, MS.  These athletes came to the Bigfoot Training Academy to show off their skills and talents.

The Girls’ Fall Video Showcase brought together college coaches and players for one Saturday.  College coaches were able to attend the showcase either in person or watch via the live stream..  This combination of in person viewing and technology made the Fall Video Showcase an exciting opportunity for these players.

Delta Report Scouting Services hosted the event and provided player insights and evaluations.  There was a lot of talent to evaluate and all of the players did a fantastic job of competing.   Below you will find a Tip Sheet of some of the more outstanding performances:

Tip Sheet

  • Jordan Conner, 5’7 Point Guard, Clinton, MS - A speedy lefty PG with an explosive, athletic 1st step. Pesky on ball defender.  Very long limbs for size. This and her ability to elevate on her shot lets her shoot over taller defenders.  Her track speed is evident in the open court in transition and in pressure defensive situations.
  • Ebony Gayden, 5’9 Wing, McComb, MS - Athletic lefty wing with a high motor and a competitive soul. Works both ends of the court. Plays within the flow of the game. Capable of scoring inside the arc and beyond the arc. Rebounds her position. Sleeper to keep an eye on.
  • Briashia King, 5’7 Point Guard, Germantown, MS - Speedy PG who doesn’t mind having the ball in her hands. Wicked hand speed when effecting change of direction dribbles. Deadly 3 ball stroke in transition. Gets to the basket using her speed and quickness. As Briashia works on floor balance, she will make herself an asset on the next level.
  • Morgan Tucker-Williams, 6’2 Power Forward, Delhi, LA - Powerful frame yet light on her feet. Uses her quickness to avoid defenders in the painted area. Effective scorer from the high post.  Capable as a facilitator from the post and wing and will throw no passes to open and cutting teammates. Morgan should be a prize recruit and her status will grow as her perimeter shooting becomes more consistent.

  • Tasionna McDowell, 6’1 Forward, Delhi, LA - Athletic enough to play the “3” or "4" position.  Explosive when attacking the basket in transition offense.  Her vertical and length assist her when going after out-of-area rebounds.  Better suited as a slasher in the half court setting.
  • Rose Warren, 5'9 Guard, Puckett, MS - Intelligent player with floor command presence.  Anticipates players cutting.  Solid ability to get get into the interior of the defense and set up her shot and shots for others.  Quick release and high arc on jumper well beyond the arc.  Does a good job of involving others.

2021 & Younger

  • Kineshia Harris (2022) 5'2 Point Guard, McComb, MS - Smallish PG with a lot of spunk.  Get open after initial pass and find the open area for the drive and kick 3 ball.  Still learning how to set up teammates, but is very pesky as an on ball defender.
  • Debreashia Powe (2022) 6'1 Forward, Lamar, MS - Versatile and elusive.  Great range on her shot.  Solid passer when needed to relieve pressure place on other teammates. Very confident and mature for her age.  Capable of opening options up for others.
  • Diamond Smith (2021) 5'8 Guard, John Curtis, LA - High motor with plenty of energy. Explosive step to the basket.  Creative finisher.  Gets her shot off in traffic.  Athletically, she is still growing into her own.  Once she gets there she should be a very exciting player to track.
  • Marquaisia Smith (2022) 5'4 Point Guard, Vicksburg, MS - Showed a lot of courage.  Consistently used dribble drive action to get into the interior of the paint.  Demonstrated the ability to consistently knock down the catch & shoot 3 ball.  Should develop into a solid player as she focuses on attacking the basket more with the intent to score herself.

Amiyah Staples (2019) - 5'9 Forward, Riverside, MS - Tough minded blue collar player.  Can score inside the arc in a variety of ways and will rebound the ball. A true stat line player.

Brionne Woods (2019) 5'9 Guard, Cabrini - Power frame with good athleticism. Effective use of size when penetrating. Like to challenge smaller guard to defend her in the paint.

TK Catchings (2020) - 6'0 Power Forward, Simpson County Academy, MS - Great basketball frame. Tough finisher on the interior.  Strong hands and will run the floor.

TyKayla Robertson (2020) - 6'2 Power Forward/Post, Jewel Sumner, LA - Built for back to the basket but very nimble for her size. Showed solid facilitation skills and the penchant to knock down the mid range jumper.

Alisha Tucker (2020) - 5'10 Wing, McComb, MS - Solid mid range scorer.  Learning how to transition from post to a pure wing.  Demonstrated the potential to be an effective secondary ball handler.

Tyniaha Wilson (2022) - 5'8 Wing, Brandon, MS - Raw but up and coming.  Lets her game talk.  Always seems to be around the ball.  Active as a 50/50 player.

Symia Harbour (2023) - 5'3 Point Guard, Northeast (Meridian), MS - Don't let the size fool you.  Very active on both ends of the court.  Plays fearlessly.   Surprising range for her height. Showed no fear fear of taking the big shot.
